Shiny Hair Solution: Oribe Supershine Moisturizing Cream

Lately I’ve been in a bit of hair rut. Is it time for a new style? Do I need to grow it longer? Cut it shorter? Turns out, I think I just needed a new magic potion that would smooth flyaways and make my hair extra shiny. And the great news is, I found one!

Oribe Supershine Moisturizing Cream is a lightweight hair cream that you work through damp hair before styling. I’ve been using my blow dryer but the bottle says you can air dry as well. The result is hair that is so much smoother and extremely shiny. The cream doesn’t make my fine hair greasy, and I even wake up in the morning with impossibly chic bed head. It’s amazing! Plus a little dab is all I need to have good hair all day.

Hair rut be gone!

Body and Bounce

The title of this post might lead you to believe that it is about excercise and sports bras and things of that nature, but it’s about hair. More precisely, it’s about my hair, and the wonderful thing that started happening to it since I started using Living Proof’s new Full Thickening Cream.

As I’ve mentioned before, I have very thick hair, so it may seem odd that I’d be drawn to a thickening cream. But don’t let its name fool you – this product doesn’t give you more hair. What it does is give you longer lasting body and oomph.

I was drawn to the product after reading several articles about it claiming that it could make hair full and voluminous. It also claimed to be touchable and non-crunchy. Long lasting hair greatness without the crunch? How could I resist.

It turns out, the rumors were true. The smarties behind the Living Proof  line (MIT professor Dr. Bob Langer is one of its founders) created the product to make strands of thin hair stick together, mimicking thicker hair. But it also helps those of us with thick manes that fall flat, because it keeps your style from failing.

The first time I used Full Thickening Cream, my hair had volume at the roots, and that volume lasted even after sleeping on it. The fact that it made my hair shiny and incredibly soft didn’t hurt either.

It’s official. I’m hooked.
